Richard Waller

Director

Richard has had a passion for architecture since work experience at school. He continues to believe that good design does not need to be complicated to achieve the desired goal.

Having previously worked in a design and build environment specialising in internal refurbishment and remodelling, Richard joined Peter some years ago and enjoys the personal relationships that the business was founded on.

Richard lives in Ryedale with his family and has undertaken many personal building projects and has first-hand experience of the architectural design, planning and constructional process involved in varying projects.

Peter Rayment

Consultant

Born and raised on the Yorkshire coast in Whitby, Peter started working in Ryedale in 1980 as a freelance Architectural Designer. After founding the company in 1989 he went on to win several design awards and has extensive experience in designing many types of buildings.

Peter handed over the reins to Richard in 2019 and continues to enjoy working part-time on many interesting and exciting projects.

Simon Bennett

Senior Architect

Simon first worked at Peter Rayment Design in the 1990's and has always been based in North Yorkshire. Returning to the practice, he brings experience of multidisciplinary architectural projects, both within Ryedale and nationally, across all stages of construction.

Simon's passion matches that of the practice and he enjoys all aspects of the architectural process, especially working closely with clients to realise their aspirations and manage expectations.
